Beyond the stereotypes of guttural, harsh sounds, the beauty and richness of the Arabic language has played a critical role in human civilization

If I did not grow up with Arabic, I would innocently and joyfully think that the easiest, yummiest, and most fun Arabic word is Falafel. And how true is it! Three short syllables with no throaty or emphatic consonants, conjuring a world of delicious flavors and colorful experiences. But I did, and besides loving Falafel, I have a greater objective here. I will offer you a guided safari through the dunes, wadis, mountains, and forests of the Arabic language and culture. Together, we will explore more than 1,500 years of history through this vibrant language and its impact on other languages and contributions to human civilizations.
