 Spring into Action in Miami 2024 is an international conference organized by the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Florida (ATIF) in collaboration with Miami Dade College Eduardo J. Padrón Campus.
 

Spring into Action in Miami (SIA) 2024 will take place:

March 15 – 17, 2024
at the Miami Dade College Eduardo J. Padron Campus (MDCEP)
627 SW 27th Ave, Miami, FL 33135, Building 6

Early bird registration:                    December 10, 2023 – January 15, 2024

Regular registration:                      January 16 – February 29, 2024

Late registration:                             March 1 – March 17, 2024

ATIF and ATA membership have a discount rate.

Registration rates give attendees access to all conference events.

The option for one day-registration is not available.

Yes. Refunds are available until February 15, 2024. 

  • Conference registration cancelled on or before February 15, 2024, is refundable but subject to an administrative fee of $25.
  • Registrants cancelling after February 15, 2024, will NOT receive a refund. Registration fees can be transferred to another person.
  • Cost of registration will be refunded in case of unforeseen circumstances or unexpected events leading to cancellation of SIA In Miami 2024.

SIA 2024 showcases a slate of guest lecturers of academic prestige as well as expert colleagues for the opportunity to attend presentations and workshops in a variety of specialty areas.

Yes. MDCEP has its own dedicated parking garage that will be made available to our attendees free of charge. To park you must download the parking permit and display it on your car’s dashboard. Information on how to retrieve your parking permit will be provided via email a couple of days before the event.

MDCEP cafeteria will remain open during SIA2024. There are other food options but not in the campus.

While discount on lodging may be announced at a later time, attendees must make their own arrangements for lodging accommodations as early as possible since Miami is a busy tourist destination.

Yes. SIA2024 Organizing Committee looks forward to hosting attendees for an opportunity to network and entertainment! More information provided a month before SIA2024.

While the reception is complimentary for registered attendees, RSVP will
be required. An RSVP page will be available.

Educational credits have been requested from the American Translators Association (ATA), the Court Interpreter Certification and Regulatory Program (CICRP), the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI), and the International Medical Interpreters Association / National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (IMIA/NBCMI).

The registration confirmation will appear on the screen as soon as the payment transaction is completed. Attendees can request a payment receipt through the “Contact” section on the website.

No. Once registered the attendees are free to attend any lecture they desire.

 

The registration desk will be in service every day. It will give the attendees their conference badges and assists with all their conference needs. 

After the conference is over, a new tab called “Certificates” will be placed on the SIA website. Attendees will use this tab to provide an email address (the one used to register for SIA–THIS IS IMPORTANT) and the password SIA2024. This password is common to everyone. The next screen will allow attendees to view/download/print the general attendance certificate as well as the certificates of any specific lectures they attended.
