Quality is crucial in translation but difficult to define.
QA checks are part of every professional translation. This session aims at providing a better understanding of the different processes to be followed in order to boost your level of language services. The speakers will provide tips and tricks to help participants get the most out of their QA tools and make their translations sound more natural and easier for native speakers to read. Attendees will also learn how and the ability to detect and self-edit some errors that are not easily identified by any QA tool. By using examples from real texts, the speakers will showcase different ways to address some issues that are generally encountered in our work as translators. Topics will also include the translation workflow, an overview of the parameters and levels of quality, a classification of the types of errors and how to evaluate them, and some basic editing principles to improve the flow and quality of deliveries.
