Mary Lee Behar is a California court-certified interpreter with 9 years of experience. She completed her BA in French at UCLA, trained for a career in translation and interpretation at UCLA Extension and the Southern California School of Interpretation and recently earned her Masters in Translation and Interpretation (Romanian, Spanish and English) at the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest, Romania. She will be presenting the topic of her Masters thesis paper, the Role of the Interpreter as a Cultural Mediator.
