Inés Swaney was born in Venezuela, where English became her third language at age five, after Hungarian and Spanish. After earning professional degrees from U.C. Berkeley in Architecture and Graphic Design, she then entered the field of language and soon became certified as a translator and as an interpreter. She has over 25 years of experience in both. Ines is also an instructor for continuing education of interpreters and has developed two workshops that have been successfully presented to colleagues throughout the U.S. and in Mexico: Improvisation Techniques for Interpreters and Depositions and the Court Interpreter. She also works regularly as a voiceover talent, and her voice is heard on TV, radio, film, video games and online projects.
